Laos Pakading To Konglor Cave & Lak Sao

After a restful night in Pakading it was planned to ride to Konglor cave and hopefully take the bike on one of the canoe's through the cave.

Huge bombs on display in Pakading.

Huge tree sections.

Aircraft fuel cell, usually these have been turned into canoe's.

Another hydro dam in the making.

Konglor cave area.

Well after much discussion the canoe pilots decided our bikes are too heavy to put on the small boats, so we decided to backtrack and head straight to Lak Sao which had been our original destination.

River beds totally dried out.

Abandoned village as a result of the hydro dam works.

The Nam Tuen 2 Hydro.

This is where we hoped to come out after passing through the cave.

Decided to check out the VIetnam border crossing point on AH 15.

Amusing family planning poster.

Our bed for the night in Lak Sao, with a bathtub a rare sight in Laos.
