Laos Attapeu To Saravan

Rather cute masked gas attendant, i'm sure she was smiling.

Wondered what this was about on the edge of a village, some sort of spirit house maybe, but it looks like someone is living there.

The long and winding road.

The old French airstrip, nothing remains other than the fact the area is devoid of trees.

Lot's of roadworks underway it look's like this is another trail to rapidly disappear.

Needs some work, one careful owner.

Abandoned logging or construction village.

Ferry across to Xekong, would guess two years from now a nice new bridge will take it's place.

Canoe option is available.

Bathtime in the river.

Great food at the Khamting restaurant.

Huge complex of what looks like government buildings left unfinished.

We got caught it several thunderstorms along the way, these kid's giggling as we sheltered from the rain.

Beautiful ceremonial house, power lines spoiling the shot.

A few Km's further and another storm caught had us sheltering.

This one went on forever.

Soon on our way stopping at Tad Fai waterfall, beautiful spot but too many backpackers for our liking.

Soon reaching Saravan found this cozy place right next to a Karaoke.

Nice ride today, but somehow we rode straight past the T54 Tank !!!!
